HAND UP KNITTING

This year I have had a great time gathering beautiful fibers in mohair, silk, hand-painted wools, cotton, soy, tencel, alpaca and specialty materials. The colors are gorgeous--oranges, greens, reds, purples, golden hues and sensuous soft basic black with hints of sparkle, classic charcoal and browns.

It's been fun designing new caps

Unique this year are our lace and herringbone scarves

. . .felted bags. . .

mohair shawls . . .

. . . and for those who enjoy math like I do--check out our moebius shawls and scarves, like this Chai Silk Moebius Shawl available by special order only

and these fun mittens. . .

Felted bags can be special ordered in your favorite colors. . .

I've been designing some fused glass dishes with my mom, Barbara.

The Lick-Wilmerding High SchoolCrafts Marketplace is just around the corner! On November 11 I will have my second showing there to support my alma mater and the people in the homeless program that my volunteers and I have been knitting for since Christmas 2003.

I hope you will come see me at Lick-Wilmerding this Saturday, November 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The address is 755 Ocean Avenue, San Francisco, just half a block from the Balboa BART station across the street from City College of San Francisco.

If you can't make it this Saturday and you'd like to order something special, write to me by November 17 at HandupKnitting@yahoo.com with your name, phone number and request. I'll call you to design your item and get it to you in time for the holidays!

Warmly,

Rain from Hand Up Knitting
